I am going into my second month of an intense love affair with Baddha Konasana.
Watch my video to find out why!
Baddha Konasana
Baddha Konasana is Sanskrit for bound angle pose. It is also known as Butterfly, Diamond or Cobbler’s pose.
Baddha Konasana is a forward fold, and forward folds are all about turning inwards and becoming quiet. I just love this pose and really find it very calming. It is great to do on its own before bed or towards the end of a longer yoga practice.
Benefits
- Stretches the groin and inner thighs
- Stimulates general circulation
- Can help alleviate pain from sciatica
- Promotes health of urinary and reproductive organs by stimulating kidneys and ovaries or prostate gland
Tip
To make this pose extra yummy, put a block or pillow underneath your forehead when you fold forward. Enjoy!!
