A Melody at Sunrise

melody-sunrise

A melody at sunrise came wafting on the wind,
And broke the snow-made silence of sparkling crystalline.
A melody at sunrise came wafting on the wind;
On fragile wings it came, and gently called my name.

A mystic reminiscence of something yet to be;
A hymn of praise with snatches of elusive harmony.

From the magic misty valley,
To the mountain’s craggy peaks,
I hear the silent voice that speaks.

In the misty morning, above the line of trees,
I stood alone, transfigured, entranced yet finally free.
Spellbound on the mountain, I saw the sun arise,
And gently kiss the grateful skies.

A melody at sunrise came wafting on the wind,
And broke the snow-made silence of sparkling crystalline.
A melody at sunrise came wafting on the wind;
On fragile wings it came, and gently called my name.
On fragile wings it came, and called my name.
