Beginning a journey of wellness in life includes discovering different disciplines and techniques to open doors to healing, prosperity and abundance.
Prosperity and abundance are buzzwords we hear quite often these days. For many people the first things that these words bring to mind are finances and material possessions. While there is certainly nothing wrong with financial abundance- and in fact, most of us wouldn’t turn it down- somehow, it seems to be a little bit at odds with the idea of wellness.
After all, wellness is about simplifying, getting rid of excesses and extremes and moving to the most natural state of being possible, right?
So why would I bring up prosperity and abundance on a blog devoted to yoga and wellness? First of all, by no means does wellness need to mean any type of lack or poverty. Secondly, abundance and prosperity involve a whole lot more than just big bucks and material possessions.
If we have a life of abundance and prosperity, it means we have more than enough of everything we need. By definition, this includes more than enough peace of mind, more than enough freedom to live your life without worry, more than enough health and vitality, more than enough wellness.
There are several different techniques and theories when it comes to abundance and prosperity. Some that I have become familiar with recently are EFT, LOA and Thought Shifting. I’d like to introduce you, albeit briefly to each one of them and invite you to investigate them more thoroughly on your own.
Living a wellness lifestyle begins with your mindset. Our minds are incredibly powerful at creating the life we live. It boils down to a pretty simple premise: whatever we focus our minds on is what we will ultimately create in our lives. That’s the Law of Attraction in a nutshell. We function as a mass of energy and the energy we put out will attract more energy of the same kind.
It’s kind of funny. A lot of people talk about "trying" to use the Law of Attraction in their lives. I’ll let you in on a little secret. It doesn’t matter if you try or not. The Law of Attraction is a Universal law, just like the Law of Gravity. You don’t decide if you’re going to use it or not, it is a part of life whether you like it or not. If you don’t believe me, drop a brick from about three feet above your foot and try to avoid the Law of Gravity from causing it to fall on your tootsies. (Don’t really try it- you can’t interfere with the Law of Gravity and its tough to do yoga with a broken foot!) The point is the Law of Attraction works just as surely as the Law of Gravity works. Whether you "try" to use it or not, whether you believe in it or not, the Law of Attraction is at work in every one of our lives.
So, as you go through your day, focus on the positive feelings you get when you work through your yoga postures and allow that strength and wellness to attract more of it into your life. Think about the balance, think about the peace, thing about the abundance of wellbeing you are creating by moving through a series of positions that center you and ground you into your place in the Universe. Focus on the positive- revel in the prosperity of health- feel the abundance of wellness- and let the Universe bring you more of it!
