Yoga by the Christmas Lights

I took a walk at midnight,
A warm wind blowing high.
I cast my gaze toward worlds beyond,
Above the leaden sky.

From Christmas Eve to Christmas Day,
In darkness and in gloom;
Ecstasy, a sacred space–
A smile was born upon my face.

What was bound to happen
But what did come to pass?
Floating free in hidden realms,
I sang for joy, quite overwhelmed.

Yoga by the Christmas lights,
Stretching toward the sky.
I cast my gaze toward worlds beyond,
Above the leaden sky.
